Job Title: Balancing Technician

Location: Bolivar, TN.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Balancing Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that crankshafts are balanced and properly aligned to meet the precise specifications required for engine performance. This position is crucial to the manufacturing process and directly impacts the efficiency and longevity of the engines produced.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with balancing machines, excellent mechanical skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate crankshaft balancing equipment to ensure components meet required tolerances.
  • Inspect crankshafts for defects, cracks, and other abnormalities before and after balancing.
  • Adjust crankshafts to achieve proper balance, following standard procedures and guidelines.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure all crankshafts meet company and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to address any design or technical issues.
  • Maintain and calibrate balancing machines and related equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Record and document balancing results and any necessary corrective actions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to unbalanced crankshafts.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required); technical certification in mechanical engineering or related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience working with crankshaft balancing equipment or in a similar mechanical role is highly desirable.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate specialized equipment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy parts, as needed.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and adherence to workplace safety practices.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver parts up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a workshop or industrial environment.
