There is no substitute for a compression ignition engine. When Rudolf Diesel created the first compression ignition engine in 1893. However, he couldn’t have foreseen the technology that would follow nearly 130 years later. Clesse Cummins would take this idea and push the limits of the diesel engine in 1931. If both these gentlemen were alive today, they would be proud to see how far this platform has came.
