Technology Specialist

Position Summary: Install, configure, and troubleshoot software, hardware, and network connectivity, working with Employees in problem solving,training on softwares. Working with HR on new hires and fires in regards to safe keeping of passwords and softwares. Coming up with new solutions to help a problem. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Install, configure, document, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with computer hardware.

Install, configure, document, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with local and network applications.

Install, configure, document, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with network, connectivity devices (switches, hubs, and etc.).

Install, configure, document, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with printers and digital imaging devices, tablets, microphones, or any other electronic equipment

Assist with security issues such as viruses, electronic intrusion detection, operating system vulnerabilities, and data protection.

Assist in Active Directory working with user and computer accounts including testing software effects on new GPOs.

Audio-Visual technology setup and support, Distance Education Technology support

Assist with server resources (print queues, network shares, etc.)

Responsible for technical support for various databases.·

Maintain and support the General Administration and housekeeping of all IT systems

·· Other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager

Telephone set up and  support.

Required Qualifications: A.S. degree in Computer Information Systems or related field, 1-3 years of related experience, and a valid TN Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems is preferred. CompTIA A+ Certification preferred.

Working Conditions: Working conditions require lifting and carrying PCs, monitors, and printers, bend and crawl under desks, and climb ladders. Lifting could be 50lbs.

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift

Work Location: One location

Pay Rate: $17-$20 hourly depending on prior experience which is defined by the current compensation plan.
