The exhaust system on the 2006–2007 Duramax 6.6L LBZ directs and manages exhaust gases from the engine to the rear of the vehicle, helping control noise, emissions, and turbo efficiency. It includes the exhaust manifolds, up-pipes, turbocharger, downpipe, catalytic converter, and exhaust piping. Since the LBZ predates diesel particulate filters, its system flows more freely than later models, making it popular for tuning and upgrades.
