Cummins 5.9 24V Cylinder Head
This enhanced Cummins diesel engine cylinder head stands out as an excellent upgrade from stock, offering superior performance and reliability.
Cleaning Process :
Once it passes our inspection for cracks and imperfections through MPI testing, it will then undergo a stress-relieving process in a furnace to turn any grease and oil into ash. Subsequently, it will be shot blasted in our cabinet to remove any rust and scaling. This step not only eliminates surface contaminants but also relaxes the material before machining to our specifications.
After this it will be checked for any broken bolts or studs, and removed.
Once the cylinder head has met our stringent standards, it will then start through the machining process.
We meticulously blueprint our heads to a proprietary valve train geometry, carefully adjusting valve height and recession to maximize reliability and longevity. By modifying valve stem heights, we eliminate lifter preload, reducing wear and promoting a longer lifter lifespan.
After machining, we pressure-test the Cummins cylinder heads at 40 PSI to ensure leak-free performance. Following MPI inspection for cracks and imperfections, the component undergoes stress-relieving in a furnace to eliminate grease and oil residues. It then proceeds to shot blasting in our cabinet, removing rust and scaling while preparing the material for machining to our specifications.
This meticulous process includes precise measurements of valve recessions, stem heights, spring installations, pressures, and keeper/lock positions, with surface roughness analyzed using a profilometer.
Please be sure that the surface of the block has been inspected and cleaned prior to installation of this Cylinder Head.
