The Choate Billet Torque Plate mimics the stress the cylinder head imposes on the block during the honing process. Use of a torque plate allows for better cylinder geometry and increased engine efficiency. Without honing torque plate you are leaving a lot to be desired. This product starts life as a 6061 Billet aluminum ignot. From there they are machined to fit your application. Check out this video showing the effects of torque plate honing.
