Part: Grind Crank Mains
This process involves resizing the mains to allow a line bore to correctly align the main journals. Essential for bearing life, engine life, and overall engine efficiency. For “cleaning” up the main journals, making sure they have the proper surface finish as well as size. This is for the mains only. Rods are also able to be machined with extra cost. We will need to see the crankshaft before attempting to grind, to make sure it is salvageable.
