Torque plate honing is something that gets overlooked a lot in this industry. If you want a quality product, spend the money and torque plate hone your block. It’s well worth the money! It makes a huge difference in the outcome. If you are still doubtful, don’t take my word for it. Watch this clip. Cass explains the importance of torque plate honing. And how the cylinder bore is effected by the torquing of the cylinder head. There is a difference between static and dynamic. Static means you can stand on the wing of an airplane, without the wind blowing. Dynamic means your a crazy wing walker, while someone is flying the plane. Both are standing on the wing, but it isn’t the same thing. When you torque plate hone the engine, it’s standing on the wing at 200MPH winds. It’s simulating the actual position of the block when the head is bolted on it. Watch here for more info!
