    CNC Blueprint Machining

    Factory machining flaws that lead to compression loss and coolant leaks are eliminated by CNC blueprinting the block and cylinder head, creating perfect tolerances and surface finishes for superior MLS (multi-layer steel) head gasket sealing.

    Vibration-Reducing Balancing

    Hours of idling vibration take a toll. We dynamically balance the crankshaft, rods, and weight-matched pistons to eliminate drivetrain vibrations and protect your transmission and hydraulic pumps.

    Precision Diamond Honing

    Cylinders are diamond-honed to a tight 0.0001-inch tolerance for perfect piston ring seating and reduced friction, eliminating piston scoring and blow-by.

    Upgraded Industrial Internals

    The QSB6.7 frequently suffers from dropped valve seats due to high cylinder pressures. Our upgraded cylinder heads are machined in-house, Magnafluxed and pressure-tested to handle rapid thermal loading year after year.

Choate Performance offers a fully remanufactured Cummins QSB6.7 Long Block for the XCMG XE215D. We’ve taken the legendary Tier 3 Cummins platform and applied modern precision machining to solve factory oiling and thermal flaws, giving your "C" or "D" series excavator a second life.

     

    The Choate Remanufacturing Process At Choate, we believe an industrial engine should be built to the same tolerances as a race engine. Our "Stock is Not an Option" process includes:

    • CNC Blueprint Boring: We rectify the block geometry using precision CNC equipment, ensuring the crankshaft and cylinders are perfectly phased for maximum torque.

    • Precision Balancing: We weight-match the rotating assembly to within 2 grams. For an excavator, this means less stress on the hydraulic pump drive and a smoother operator experience.

    • Torque Plate Honing: By honing the block under the simulated stress of a torqued head, we achieve a superior ring-to-wall seal, maximizing compression and fuel efficiency.

    • Upgraded Valve Materials: We use upgraded valve seats and guides to withstand the constant high-load cycles of aggregate and earthmoving work, preventing valve recession.

    Ordering Instructions This engine is configured for Tier 3/Legacy XCMG models that do not require Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF).     Choate Engineering Industrial engines are covered up 1 year / 2,000 hours, with some limitations.

    We also require our customers to follow proper maintenance procedures, replace critical components during installation, and more.

    As consideration for the above warranties, the buyer agrees they will take no action, statement, characterization, or implication regarding Choate Engineering Performance that may in any manner be interpreted as disparaging to Choate Engineering Performance or the reputation of Choate Engineering Performance. Any violation of this is a material breach, entitling Choate Engineering Performance to void any warranty.

    CHOATE ENGINEERING PERFORMANCE SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE, NOR SHALL IT PAY ANY FREIGHT/SHIPPING CHARGES.

    • All freight and shipping charges are the sole responsibility of the customer, including any customs fees or brokerage fees.
    • Any shipments Choate Engineering Performance arranges for the customer include insurance.
    • In the event the purchased unit is damaged during transportation to or from Choate Engineering Performance, Choate Engineering Performance shall not be responsible for any costs associated with such damage.
    • The repair of such damage is not included under the Limited Warranty; should transportation damage skew the results of the diagnosis such that the findings are that the defect is not covered under the Limited Warranty, Choate Engineering Performance shall incur no liability or responsibility whatsoever.
